The Co-operative is working with the National Park of Cilento to guarantee the quality of the product while at the same time safeguarding the fragile ecosystem. 

The Co-operative has been the first to use new machinery which produces top quality oil but allows the olive husks to be collected and used as organic fertilisers thus returning nutrients to the soil.

50,000 eco traps, supplied by the regional Authority of Campania, have made organic cultivation possible below the normal 400 metre altitude limit.

Nuovo Cilento's organic olive oil is marketed through the WWF catalogue and sold in Japan, Germany, Switzerland and in the Uk where it numbers among its customers an International British Company specialising in environmentally friendly cosmetics.
